TRAVEL JOURNAL
METROPOTIS — 2050
We find ourselves at a time and place where technology has never been more advanced.
Levelys is a young boy with a curious nature, wearing large glasses and sporting black, tousled hair. He spends his days indulging in his passion: reading books at the library. Despite his young age, he has already read many books and loves to collect the lost objects he can find on its way.
One day, while Levelys was reading, his parents began arguing once again. He decided to leave and seek refuge in the calm of the Metropotis city library. He packed his things and made his way to the nearby subway. As he stepped outside, his small stature contrasted with the immensity of the metropolis. Skyscrapers disappeared as far as the eye could see, and the bustling transports echoed through the grand avenues, lined with clusters of neon lights adorning various artisan shops and restaurants.
The heights were adorned with solar panels, and vast expanses of greenery intertwined with the glass jungle formed by the different towers. Levelys slowly arrived at the platform of the subway station and boarded his usual line. As he sat there, contemplating the architectural chains stretching out to the horizon, he turned his head and noticed that someone had evidently forgotten their book. None of the other passengers seemed to pay much attention to it.
He stood up and approached his newfound discovery. As he picked it up, he came face to face with a magnificent leather binding adorned with embossed alchemical symbols. He was fascinated. Suddenly, the subway, traveling at full speed, entered a tunnel, and the lights vibrated to the rhythm of the jolts.
Upon opening the first few pages, a light burst forth from the paper, releasing an energy that engulfed the entire wagon. In an instant, Levelys found himself immersed in a tunnel of unstoppable energy. The other passengers seemed to be nothing more than shadows of themselves. The deafening noise of the tunnel merged with the dancing bursts of energy, and the carriage appeared to travel through an infinite and luminous space, full of mysteries.
Levelys could feel his feet returning to touch the real world, and things slowly returned to their original state. The subway, now more stable, seemed to face a light. The tunnel was coming to an end, and once out of the darkness, passengers could behold a new horizon: a magnificent sunrise bathing immense green hills in light and reflecting in the mirror that the ocean so eagerly imitated.
But even more beautiful lay ahead, and Levelys’ gaze turned to the sign displaying the destination. It read:
“The Great City of the Magician.”
